Obituary:
Patricia A. Hanson, age 71, of Canton, died Sunday evening in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born February 10, 1930, in Noble County, OH., to the late Howard and Freda Sanford. She was a member of Market Heights United Church of Christ, where she was in the choir. She was active with the American Cancer Society, and enjoyed bowling. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence of the home with whom she celebrated 54 happy years of marriage; four daughters and sons-in-law, Candy and Raymond Stinchcomb of Canton, Laurie and Greg Oyler of Massillon, Melissa (Mike Smarsh) Hanson, Beth (Michael Genara) Hanson all of Canton; and one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sandy Hanson of Massillon; there are five grandchildren, Shannon, Sarah, William C., Amanda and Angie; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and C.J.; one sister, Mary Bird of Caldwell, OH; and one brother, Larry Sanford of Dexter, City, OH also surviving. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Dudlee Cemetery. Calling hours in the Reed Funeral Home Tuesday (tonight) 6-7 p.m. and on Wednesday in the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home from 12 noon-1 p.m.
