(5) and Mary's widowed father George W. Braund (71). George, whose last name is not clear in the census, was a native of Germany. Anthony Becker still worked as a pottery presser.

In 1930, Anthony (54) and Mary E. (47) Becker owned a multi-family home worth $15000 at 2230 Norwood (?) in Wheeling, WV. Living with them was their daughter Rosella (15), who attended school. Anthony was employed as a salesman for a tea company. Portions of the home were rented out to two unrelated families.

According to the Social Security Death Index, Anthony's last residence was North Carolina. His Social Security number was issued in West Virginia prior to 1951.

Mary E. Braund 1, 2, 3 was born in 1882 in Ohio. She married Anthony Becker in 1904.

Mary's parents were born in Germany. According to the 1910 census, she had not given birth to any children. In the 1920 census, Mary's father, George W. lived with the Becker family. His last name is difficult to read. In the index, it's Braund. However, on the actual census, the initial letter could be either a B or a K.

Joseph J. Becker [Parents] 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 was born on 29 Jul 1870 in near Fulda, Noble Co., OH. He was christened in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, Fulda, Noble Co., OH. He married Mary L. in 1912.

In 1900, Joseph Beeker (29) lived with his widowed mother and younger siblings in a rented house in Wheeling, West Virginia. Joseph was employed as an axle turner.

At the time of the 1910 census, Joseph J. Becker (40) rented a home at 2327 Jacob St. in Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. Living with him were his younger siblings Minnie (30), John (28), and Gertrude (24). None of the siblings were married. Joseph was employed as a janitor in a dry goods store.

In 1920, Joseph J. Becker (49) owned a mortgaged home on Locust Avenue in Triadelphia, Ohio County, West Virginia. Living with him were his wife, Mary L. (43) and children Valentine (5) and Marian L. (3 yrs 8 mos). Joseph was employed as a salesman for a tea company. Joseph's sister, Gertrude Becker Scott, lived a few doors away.

In 1930, Joseph J. Becker (59) and his wife Mary L. (52) rented a home for $95 a month at 8 Locust Ave. in Triadelphia. Living with them were their children Valentine (15) and Lucille (14), both of whom attended school. Joseph worked as a salesman for a retail grocery.

Mary L. 1, 2 was born in 1876 in Alsace Lorraine, France. She married Joseph J. Becker in 1912.

According to the 1930 census, Mary came to America in 1900. She was a naturalized citizen.

In 1930, Edwin Weber (33) and his wife Eliza (32) owned a home worth $7000 at 805 Phillips St. in Marietta, Ohio. Living with them were their two children, Edwin L. Jr. (5) and David T. (2), and Edwin's father, August Weber (66). Edwin was still a salesman for an oil well supply company.

Eliza 1 was born in 1898 in Ohio. She married Edwin L. Weber in 1923.

In 1930, Eliza was employed as a registered nurse in a hospital. She had been unemployed for 6 months during the previous year. Eliza and her parents were natives of Ohio.

In 1910, Noah Burkhart (20) was a boarder in the home of Gregor Kavalaris at 612 South Main St. in Akron, Summit county, Ohio. Noah was employed as a cigar maker in a stogie factory.

In 1920, Noah Burkhart (30), his wife Hallie (30) and son Eugene (6) rented part of a home at 218 Main (?) St. in Wheeling, WV. Eugene attended school. Noah was employed as a stogie maker in a factory. The family did not live far from Noah's mother, Kate.

Hallie 1 was born in 1889 in Ohio. She married Noah Burkhart about 1912.

Frank Burkhart [Parents] 1, 2 was born in Dec 1891 in Ohio. He married Agnes.

In 1910, Ernest Burkhart (26) and his brother Frank (20) were boarders in the home of Elizabeth Davis at 710 Communion (?) St. in Akron, Summit County, Ohio. Both men were employed in a rubber shop.

It has not been proven that the following man is the son of Kate Weber and Nicholas Burkhart, but four other family members moved to Wheeling, and this Frank Burkhart lived in the same neighborhood as his mother, two brothers, and sister.

At the time of the 1920 census, Frank Burkhart (28), his wife Agnes (29) and daughter Sarah (3) lived in a rented house at 35 East First St. in Wheeling, WV. Frank occupation was "laborer."

Agnes 1 was born in 1890 in West Virginia. She married Frank Burkhart.
