WATERFORD — John George Burke, 4-month-old son of Donald Lewis and Shawna Marie Noll Burke of Waterford, died Monday (April 9, 2007) at home. He was born Nov. 28, 2006, in Marietta.He is survived by his parents; a twin brother, Jacob Allen Burke; a sister, Josie Dawn Burke of Waterford; grandparents, Donald and Lucy Burke of Lowell; grandmother, Betty Noll of Waterford; great-grandfather, Don Burke Sr. of Lowell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.He was preceded in death by grandfather, John George Noll; great-grandmother, Mary S. Burke; and great-grandparents, Ralph and Ann Schultheis.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at McCurdy Funeral Home, Beverly, with Monsignor Robert Kawa officiating. Jerome J. “Jerry” Miller, 71, of Watson Rd., St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. He was born May 29, 1935 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Tiburtius I. “Ty” Miller and Regina Rabb Miller. Jerry was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, graduate of St. John’s Central High School and Xavier University, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4243 in St. Clairsville and the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Management Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Tom and Robert Miller. Surviving are his wife, Margaret R. Neurohr Miller; four sons, Donald Miller of London, Ohio, Tom Miller, Jeff Miller and his wife Amy, and David Miller, all of St. Clairsville; a brother, Jim (Judy) Miller of Martins Ferry; two sisters, Mary Angela “Sue” (Dick) Ney of Toledo, Ohio and Dolores “Dodo” (Larry) Schaffer of Martins Ferry; five grandchildren, Adrianne, Vincent, Austin, Sydney, and Luke; great aunt, Kathy Vogler of Wheeling. Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville with Father Thomas Chillog the celebrant. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville. The Knights of Columbus will recite rosary at 6 p.m. Saturday and there will be a vigil service at 6 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 212 W. Main St., St.Clairsville, Ohio 43950 or to St. Mary’s School, 226 W. Main St., St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
