By 1910, Adrian had moved his family to Dennison Village in Mill Twp., Tuscarawas County, Ohio, where he rented a home on Third St. Living with him were his wife, Bridget (39), and children Leo E. (10), Maurice E. (8), Florentine (7), Ernest (5) and Bernard (2). Adrian was a partner in a bottling works. The oldest three children attended school. (He may have been in partnership with Bridget's brothers Albert and Roman Heil, who owned a bottling plant in Tuscarawas County.)
The Archer family moved to Zanesville, Ohio in 1912. In 1920, they were living in a rented house at 602 Underwood St. in Zanesville. The family consisted of Adrian (50), Mary B. (49), Leo (20), Morris (18), Florentine (17), Ernest E. (15), Bernard G. (12), and Paul W. (5). Only Ernest and Bernard attended school. Adrian was employed as a laborer in a machine company. Of the children, only daughter Florentine was employed... she worked as a stove worker at a glass company.
Adrian Archer is not mentioned as a survivor in his wife's 1942 obituary.

The US census indicates that five of Bridget's six children were alive in 1910. Otto died before that time.
In 1930, 59 year old widow Bridget M. Archer owned a home worth $2000 at 802 Elberon Ave. in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio. Living with her were her sons Muarice E. (28), William P. (10), Bernard G. (22) and Bernard's new wife, Margaret (18). Of the members of the household, only Bernard was employed; he worked as a clerk in a grocery store.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bridget Archer, 71, of
802 Elberon avenue, who died Saturday morning [17 Jan
1942] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gerald Durant, of
Wayne avenue, will be held at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning
at St. Thomas Catholic church. Burial will be in Mt.
Calvary.
Mrs. Archer was a native of Fulda, O., but had
resided in Zanesville since 1912. She was a member of the
Purgatorial society, the Ladies Catholic Benevolent society
and the Altar and Rosary society of St. Thomas Catholic
church.
Surviving are fours sons, Leo, of South Zanesville;
and Maurice, Bernard, and Paul W. Archer, and a daughter,
Mrs. Gerald Durant, all of this city; three brothers, Henry
Heil, of Fulda; Albert Heil, of Dennison, and Roman Heil,
of Ulrichsville; two sisters, Mrs. Eve Gherst (sic) of Fulda,
and Sister M. Magilla of Good Samaritan hospital.
The body will be removed to the Archer residence
on Elberon avenue at noon today from the Keck funeral home.

Henry and Mary had been married for 40 years. Accordding to the census, Henry was born in Germany and came to America in 1834, when he was 17 years old. He was a naturalized American citizen. Henry J. Miller could not read, write, or speak English.
