Fulda, fractured his left arm, near the shoulder, Friday, when he
fell on the Fulda school grounds. Dr. E. G. Ditch gave medical
treatment and reduced the fracture.CALDWELL MAN INJURED IN TRUCK CRASH
A 34-year-old Caldwell man, Ralph Schoeppner, was in
fair condition Friday at Good Samaritan hospital where he
is being treated for injuries sustained Thursday night when
he lost control of his truck near Caldwell.
Schoeppner suffered a possible skull fracture and a
severe scalp wound.
According to the Noble County sheriff's department which
investigated, Schoeppner was traveling alone at the time of
the accident. He lost control on a hill on State Route 584, a
short distance south of Route 78.
The truck owned by his father, Albert Schoeppner, a con-
tractor, skidded out of control and crashed through a fence
before coming to rest in a creek bed. A passing motorist
found the injured man and took him to a Caldwell doctor's
where he was given emergency treatment.
Schoeppner is employed by his father who took him to

CALDWELL - Ralph H. Schoeppner, 47, of Belford
street, died at 8 a.m Monday at his home following a brief
illness. He was a carpenter and worked in the building con-
struction trade. Born in Noble County Aug. 20, 1924, he was
a son of Marien Bishop Schoeppner of Caldwell Route 4
and the late Albert Schoeppner.
Mr. Schoeppner was a member of St. Stephen’s
Catholic Church in Caldwell, the VFW of Caldwell, Belle Valley
American Legion Post and Caldwell Eagles Lodge. He was
a Navy veteran of World War II.
Also surviving are his widow, the former Catherine
Schindler; two daughters, Mrs. Judy Ginn of Caldwell and
Mrs. Donna Yonker of Belle Valley; five sons, Robert of
Massillon, and Karry, Dale, Ronnie and David, all of the
home; five grandchildren; four brothers, Norman of Cald-
well, Howard of Caldwell Route 4, Cletus of Zanesville,
and Vernon of Caldwell; four sisters, Mrs. Vera McCartney
of Indiana, Mrs. Leona Schell of Columbus, Mrs. Arlene
Eller of Canton, and Mrs. Delores Snyder of Caldwell.
Brubach Funeral Home in Summerfield will take
charge and will take the body to Murphy Funeral Home in
Caldwell where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. and from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Rosary will be recited at
Murphy Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Wednesday and Eagles
rites will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Requiem mass will be solemnized at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at St. Stephens Catholic church with Rev. Fr.
Lawrence Luciana officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s
Cemetery in Fulda. Military rites will be observed by
Caldwell VFW Post.
