In 1930, 36 year old Harry J. From The Crock Family History by Maria Pegnato: Harry Miller was Vice President of Kelly Drug Company. He was a very gentle man, very bright and quiet. In World War I, he rode horses in the infantry. Gradually it became clear that he had a way with the horses, and could treat them medically. He was eventually assigned those duties and became known as "Doc" despite the absence of any medical degree.

Harry was very lonesome after the death of his first wife, Nellie. He often went to the home of his sister, Coletta Miller Vacco, for Sunday dinner. Evenutally, he married Connie Kennedy. They bought a house in Blackridge near Coletta's.

Constance Callahan [Parents] 1, 2, 3 was born on 16 Oct 1910 in West Orange, Essex Co., NJ. She died on 31 Mar 2001 in Cranbury, Middlesex Co., NJ. She was buried in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA. She married Harry J. Miller.

MILLER CONSTANCE KENNEDY w/o Harry J. Miller On Saturday, March 31, 2001, age 90, of Cranbury at home. Born in West Orange, she resided in Pgh., PA most of her life before moving to East Windsor 10 years ago. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hightstown, the Blackridge Civic Association in Pgh., PA, a member of St. John Fischer RC Church in Forest Hills, PA and Pittsburgh Hospital Auxiliary. She was formerly employed for 25 years with the Joseph Horne Company in Pittsburgh, PA. Daughter of the late Katherine (Coslow) and George F. Callahan; wife of the late Patrick W. Kennedy, Sr. and Harry J. Miller; she is survived by her daughter Kathy Kennedy Gaines of Cranbury; one son and daughter-in-law, Patrick W. Kennedy, Jr. and Martha L. Kennedy of East Windsor; one sister, Sally Haller of Phoenix, AZ; for grandchildren, Bryan Kennedy of Fredericksburg, VA, Andrew Kennedy and Kate Utter both of East Windsor, and Jan Pavelec of Cranbury; two great-grandchildren, Larsen and Alden Kennedy of East Windsor; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at 10 am at the A. S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 No. Main St., Cranbury. A funeral mass will follow at 11 am at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown. Interment Friday, April 6, 2001 at Calvary Cemetery, Pgh., PA. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Miller's memory to Alzheimer's Assoc. Amelia E. Smotzer [Parents] "Mollie" 1, 2 was born in 1896 in Pennsylvania. She died 3 in Aug 1971. She was buried 4 in Braddock Catholic Cemetery, Braddock, Allegheny Co., PA. She married Fagan.

In 1910, Mollie Smotzer lived with her parents and siblings on Seddon Ave. in North Braddock, PA. She attended school that year.

Molly Smotzer Fagan did not have any children. William Ford remembers: When the three sisters got together - it was a hoot. All three of them were animated and had great senses of humor. Molly was the instigator.


John P. Gallagher Jr. 1, 2 was born on 5 Sep 1892 in Pennsylvania. He died in Apr 1982 in Monroeville, Allegheny, PA. He was buried 3 in Braddock Catholic Cemetery (Sec.G), Braddock, Allegheny Co., PA. He married Verna A. Miller in 1921 in Pennsylvania.

According to the 1930 cenus, 37 year old John Gallaghar (sic) lived with his wife Verna (29) in a home they rented for $45 a month at 1034 Braddock Avenue, Braddock, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania. Living with them were their children Mariam (8), J. Patrick (4) and Joan (4 mos). According to the census, John and Verna had been married for 9 years. Mariam attended school. All members of the household were born in Pennsylvania as were John's parents. Verna's parents were born in Ohio. John worked as the Register of Wills in the Allegheny County Court House.

The tombstones of John and Verna Gallagher are inscribed with the words "Father" and "Mother."
