Immediately after the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Beda Hill. Covers were laid for 25 guests. In the evening they were honored with a wedding dance at the Cecelian hall, Carlisle.

EDGAR (ED) HILL, PATROLMAN
Edgar F. (Ed) Hill was an excellent state highway patrolman.
He had all the qualities of a good police officer: intelligence,
perseverance, patience, honesty and integrity.
Corporal Hill was also a man of tact, understanding and kind-
ness - qualities that stood out in harpest focus when he was
dealing with the worst offenders.
He was also a man of great personal courage - courage that
manifested itself many, many times as he battled against for sev-
eral months; courage that he displayed when a son, Patrick, was
killed in a traffic accident last December.
Corporal Hill had been a member of the State Highway Patrol
for 18 years, 11 of them in Zanesville. He was admired and
respected by his fellow officers, and this, perhaps, is the truest
measure of his character.
His death at 49 is tragic. We offer our condolences to his family.
The community has lost an officer and a gentleman.

Winnie is survived by three daughters, Judith M. King and Joan E. (Chuck) Thomas, both of Zanesville and Sandra A. (Bill) Aschinger of Philadelphia; a son, William J. Hill and friend Bonnie Bendure of Zanesville; Mom Hill has 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Elvira Schell of Heath; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Winnie was preceded in death by a son, Patrick K. Hill; four sisters; and three brothers.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2, at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave., with a Christian Vigil service being held at 3:30 p.m.

Hill of 58 Green street, died at Bethesda Hospital at 3:05 p.m. Friday some eight hours after the motorbike he was riding was struck by an automobile at Sharon avenue and Fishers lane. He was a newspaperboy for The Times Recorder. The boy was a freshman at Rosecrans High School. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, where he was an altar boy. It was the first traffic fatality in the city in 22 months and the 15th in Muskingum County this year. the victim's father has been with the Ohio Highway Patrol since 1944 and has been stationed here since the Zanesville post was established in 1953. The youth sustained a fractured skull. Patrolmen Paul Thompson and Charles Rush, who investigated, said young Hill was struck by an automobile driven by William Fisher, 28, of Route 6. Officers said Fisher told them he was driving west on Sharon avenue when he saw a bike rider ahead. The youth started to make a left turn off Sharon avenue onto Fishers lane when the accident occurred at 6:56 a.m. Police said the car skidded on the icy pavement a distance of 112 feet before striking the youth, hurling him and the bike another 117 feet. Police Sgt. Richard Tracy said the case will be referred to the grand jury. Fisher was en route to work at OK Coal Company in South Zanesville. He was not held. The motor bike was owned by Patrick Untied of 120 Green street who witnessed the accident, police said. The investigation is continuing. According to traffic records, Zanesville recorded its last previous fatality on Feb. 3, 1962 when Joseph Tigor, 3, of 862 Cabott drive was struck and killed by a car on Pershing road. GIRL, 4, KILLED IN ROAD MISHAP
Betty Marie Brahler, aged 4 years, was fatally injured
Tuesday afternoon, when she ran into the side of an auto near her
home a mile east of route 44 on the Maximo-North Canton road,
deputies reported.
Nick Pummeo, 20, driver of the car, told deputy sheriffs
he had been threshing and was on his way to his home a mile west
of route 62 on the same road. As he approached the Brahler home,
he said, he reduced his speed when he saw Kenneth Brahler, brother
of the girl, cross the road with a wheelbarrow. An instant later, he
said, the little girl ran across the roadway and into his car.
His view of the accident scene was obstructed by high
weeds and banks, according to his statement. Coroner E. C. Reno
investigated the case Tuesday night and returned a finding of acciden-
tal death, exonerating the driver.
The child is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oswald
Brahler; three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Hay (sic), living near Louisville;
Jane and Theresa Ann, and two brothers, Vernon and Kenneth, all of
the home.

CALDWELL — Joseph Beda Hill, 74, of Columbus, died Tuesday (May 15, 2001) at St. Angela Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Columbus. He was born Nov. 1, 1926, near Fulda, Noble County, son of the late Beda and Rose (Brahler) Hill.
Mr. Hill retired in 1984 from Rockwell International in Columbus, following 33 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served with the 132nd Army Signal Corps during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hill, and two sisters, Elizabeth Schott and Alma Singer.
He leaves five sisters, Marie Dimmerling and Mrs. Ralph (Midge) Henderson, both of Caldwell; Dolores Hohman of North Canton, Rita Kuhn of East Canton, and Mrs. Vernon (Pauline) Dimmerling of Carlisle; a brother, Herman Hill of Columbus; longtime friend, Leona McFarland of Columbus; several nieces and nephews.

Mary Roush Hill was born in Pennsylvania to German-born parents. According to the census, 10 of Mary's 11 children were still living in 1900. Her fifth child, Gertrude, died in 1886 at age six.

Widow of Late John B. Hill Passes Suddenly On Thursday
CALDWELL, O., Jan 28. - Mrs. Mary F. Hill, 73, esteemed widow
of the late John B. Hill, died at her home at Fulda early Thursday morning [27
Jan 1926] of illness incident to advanced years. She was the mother of 10
children, eight of whom are living. William C. of the home, Alois and Joseph
of Denver, Colo., Beda F. of Fulda, Mrs. Rosa Hohman of Mercer county, Mrs.
Ida Brahler of Canton, Eve of Rome, Ind., and Tillie of Washington, D.C. Two
sons, George and Peter are deceased. Funeral services will be held from the St
. Mary’s Catholic church at Fulda Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, conducted by
Rev. J. B. Oeink. Interment in the Fulda Cemetery.

He was christened in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, Fulda, Noble Co., OH. He died on 1 Oct 1950.
According to his mother's 1926, obituary Joseph and his borther Aloys moved to Denver, Colorado.F iv Eva Hill 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 was born on 19 Sep 1878 in Fulda, Noble Co., OH. She was christened in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, Fulda, Noble Co., OH. She died 6 before 1969.
Eve Hill entered the Sisters of the Precious Blook as Sister M. Dominica. Records conflict on date of birth: July 1874 (1900 census) vs. Sep 1878 (Snider). In 1926 (the time of her mother's death), she lived in Rome, Indiana. Eva Hill is not listed as a survivor in the obituary of her brother William Hill who died on 28 Oct 1969.

NOBLE COUNTY NATIVE DIES
Sister M. Nothbroga, CPPS, 68, a native of Noble County, died
yesterday at a Dayton hospital where she had been a patient since
suffering a fractured hip four weeks ago. Before entering religious
life, she was Matilda Hill, the daughter of John B. and Mary Rauch
Hill. She was born near Fulda. Sister Nothbroga has been in a
Dayton convent for 50 years.
Surviving are two brothers, Beda Hill of Caldwell and William
Hill of Nashport; and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Hohman of Fort
Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Ida Brahler of Canton, and Sister Dominica of
Dayton.
Funeral services will be conducted in Dayton at 9:30 o'clock
