QUAKER CITY - Mrs. Ida F. Watson, 73 of Quaker City Route 3, died at 1 a.m. Monday (July 18, 1966) in Barnesville General Hospital where she had been a patient for a week. Mrs. Watson was born Aug. 5 1892 near Temperanceville, a daughter of Pete and Sarah Jeffers Burkhart and on Aug. 11 1914 was married to Everett Watson, who survives.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. C.H. Cater and Mrs. Laurence Gallaher both of Barnesville and Mrs. Clyde DeLong of Woodsfield; two brothers, Clem and Joseph Burkhart both of Barnesville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to Eberle Funeral Home here where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (EST) with Rev. Milford Carey officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery here.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. today.

Anna Violet Burkhart [Parents] 1, 2 was born on 31 Mar 1907 in Temperanceville, Belmont Co., OH. She died on 26 Mar 1986 in Barnesville, Belmont Co., OH. She married Hollis Cater.

Anna V. Cater, 78, of 505 South Chestnut St., Barnesville, died Wednesday in
Barnesville Health Care Center. She ws born March 31, 1907 at Temperanceville,
daughter of the late Peter and Sarah Jefferies Burkhart.
She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church, Catholic Women's Club,
Altar and Rosary Society, and American Legion Auxiliary all at Barnesville, and the
Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Cater, in 1980, and two sisters
and a brother.
Surviving are a brother, Joseph Burkhart of Temperanceville; a sister, Mrs. Clarence
(Emma) Doudna of Barnesville, several nieces and nephews.
Friends received at the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home, Barnesville, 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Assumption Church,
with the Rev. Charles Mascolino officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
at 10 a.m. Monday at Assumption Church. Burial will be held Saturday in Assumption
Cemetery. Rosary devotions 8:30 p.m. Friday.


Simon Anton Burkhart [Parents] 1, 2, 3 was born on 3 May 1891 in Summit Twp., Monroe Co., OH. He died on 15 Sep 1963 in Kalispell, Flathead Co., MT. He married Elma Wattles in 1933.

There is no one born in Ohio with a surname similar to Burkhart living in Montana in 1920.

Simon Anton Burkhart, 72, passed away in Kalispell, Tuesday. He was born
May 3, 1891 in Ohio. Mr. Burkhart was a veteran of WW I and following his
discharge from the service, came to the Flathead Valley and had since made his
home here. He had been employed by the Forestry Department for many years
before retiring. He was a member of World War Barracks of Kalispell 362 and of
the VFW Post 2252.
Mr. Burkhart is survived by his wife, Elna Burkhart at the family home at 317
8th Avenue West in Kalispell; two stepchildren, Mrs. Robert Nelson of El Cajon,
California and Marion Murer of Creston; several step grandchildren and great grand-
children, and three sisters living in Ohio. He was preceded in death of a brother, Jack
Burkhart of the Mountain Brook community.
Funeral services for Mr. Burkhart will be announced later by the Waggener &
Campbell Funeral Home.

Elma Wattles 1 was born on 26 Mar 1881 in Lenora, Norton Co., KS. She died on 24 Apr 1967 in El Cajon, San Diego Co., CA. She was buried in Conrad Cemetery, Kalispell, Flathead Co., MT. She married Simon Anton Burkhart in 1933.

Elma Burkhart, 86, widow of SimonBurkhart, died Monday in El Cajon, California.
Mrs. Burkhart was born March 26, 1881, in LaNora, Kansas.
In 1905, she was married to John Murer in Nebraska and moved to the Flathead in
1907, settling in Creston.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1931. She continued to make her home
in the Flathead and in 1933, she was married to Simon Burkhart and was preceded in
death by him in 1963. Mrs. Burkhart had made her home in California for the past three
years.
She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW of Kalispell. Mrs.
Burkhart is survived by one son, Marion Murer of Kalispell; one daughter, Mrs. Amber
Nelson of El Cajon, California; one brother, Albert Wattles in Nebraska; one sister, Mrs.
Cora Cross in Washington, seven grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Burkhart have been set for Monday at 2 p.m. from the
Waggener & Campbell Chapel with Rev. Fred Paxton, pastor of the Central Christian
Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
